Fiber and Friends

I have finally have settle back from my little vacation up to the Oregon Flock and Fiber show. Lambtown here in California is great but it’s amazing how many people come to Oregon for this one event. What happens there is a Fiber persons dream. You have all these incredible colors and fleeces in one show.
The classes offered are great from” Necropsy” to “How to grow a better Fleece.” There are classes all three days. Stacey and Randi both took classes and I helped Erica weigh in fleeces. It’s amazing how beautiful all the fleeces are. The important thing about Fleeces are you don’t skirt them for a show like you might skirt them for sale. It’s important for the judges to see just how much was on the animal. You want to remove the really gross stuff and berries and vegetable matter out of the fleece without distroying the fleece. The judge really wants to see the whole fleece.
There are so many people there, all working with different fibers and doing different projects it a must if you love fiber. I met people from as far away as New York and Montana.

This is a Typical project that people work on while there.
