Review#220: Jila sugar free gum
This gum is made in Australia and comes in little boxes of about twenty pieces. A box costs less than two bucks, but i forget exactly how much. It tastes like licorice when you first chew it but the flavor quickly makes the transition to pepperminty-gum flavor. I like the narrow little box. It’s unobtrusive, stays intact, holds the gum, and is not made of metal like a lot of mint/candy packaging these days. I’m no Violet Beauregard, gum is usually just gum to me, and I won’t go out of my way to get this gum, but I do preffer it to, say, Eclipse or Orbit in an oh-so-subtle way.

I like this gum too…really good flavor. The only problem is that after a few minutes of chewing the size of the gum shrinks down to like nothing. I HATE chewing on a teeny piece of gum. Like when there is only one stick left in the pack and your friend says “hey let’s split it” Um…why? There is NO point to chewing on a microscopic piece of gum! It might sound like a good idea at the time…the whole “sharing” thing…but ultimately its just a disappointment. So maybe if you chew the whole pack at once it would be worth it…but then that makes it like a $2 piece of gum…which is more annoying than chewing half of a piece.
