I agree...it would be liberating in a "1984" kind of way to just swipe and run! (this is probably the precursor to the implanted micro chip which will be the "answer" from the "powers taht be" to all those security issues we won't mention) but at the same time...i worry about impulse buys. Something about having to enter a pin number, select the account...it slows me down and makes me second guess my purchases. Heaven help me if i had one of those pay pass things and was in a record store. Or worse yet - a bath-product store. I'd seriously max the thing out in 10 seconds. Sign O The Times.... :) YIKES!!
