I recently got a new Mastercard with Paypass, but never really considered it. Just a while ago, however, I went to 7-11 (no eggs this time) an noticed that they had PayPass on their EFT thingie. So instead of swiping my card I just touched it to the pad. It was sweet! It beeped and seconds later my reciept printed out. I don’t consider entering my PIN to be a big time-consuming event, but I do like the speediness of PayPass. Although, it brings up a slew of security issues that I don’t even need to mention.

I work full time and go to school, but that’s not why I haven’t posted reviews for a while.
Look, my Undead Rogue is Level 39. At 40 I can get my mount, but first I need to earn like 90 more gold. So until my herbalism and alchemy yield some better results at the auction house and I get some good stuff from instances, y’all are just gonna have to sit tight.

I’m gonna look so badass on that thing.

I’m in a couple of myspace groups where we talk about how nerdy we are, how cool Star Trek and comics are, and how we’re all homos. In one of those groups a fellow member noticed that his posts weren’t posting. He somehow found that they were being re-routed here. I’m pretty sure this is the longest thread that any Myspace message board has. It’s not in any sort of group and it seems like random posts from all over are just thrown in here.
As you might imagine, it’s uproariously funny to read through these very out-of-context posts, especially if the following post is in stark contrast. Behold:

So, seriously,
check it out before it’s gone for some reason.

Not too long ago I joined the 90’s and got a cell phone. Even not longer ago I realized that I could get an annoying ringtone just like everyone else! I went to the Virgin Mobile website first and that luckily ended up being my last stop as well.
MY first thought was Today by the Smashing Pumpkins, one of my favorite songs growing up. Yeah, hard as it is to believe, I was angsty. Ok, I was mopey. Whatever.
The next idea I got was a TV theme song. They didn’t have The Odd Couple, not that I thought they would, but they did have The Brady Bunch. The problem with that is that it’s a midi file. Yuck.
After browsing for a little while longer, I found it. It was perfect. I got it on my phone and now I wait anxiously for someone to call. Unfortunatley for the caller, I won’t want to talk to whoever it is but I’ll get to hear my awesome ringtone!

It kind sucks.
The network I was stealing a signal from in my new place has dissapeared. Maybe I was reducing the bandwidth a little too much. I’ll have to call to set up a new account. it was relitively painless last time and the installer dude was decent looking. Hopefully history will repeat itself. Until then I am at the mercy of the library, Coming over to steph’s place (like im doing right now, and i HATE this iBook thing she has) or at the very least, my work computer that hasnt been upgraded since 1991. I’m guessing.

My friend Garrett, mastermind behind boontdusties.com (?) has started an internet radio station with his girlfriend Amber with the help of some others. I was supposed to put together a review show for them, but with my recent change of residence I didn’t really have a chance to do that AND drink a lot. Priorities.
The station launched on Jan. 1st and I caught a good portion of that show. It aired from 6pm to midnight, and everyday after it airs the previous night’s show at noon, then a new one at 6pm. They have played some really fantastic music so far. Right now they are playing Calvin Don’t Jump, and it’s really sending me. Its been great to surf the web to. There are a lot of indie/acoustic artists played, but I don’t think there’s a specific sound they’re looking for. They played some Indian music earlier tonight. There is a weekly show from the basement of Bop Street Records in Ballard where they play records based just on the album covers. I can’t wait to hear that one.
I will continue to listen to Hollow Earth Radio as long as they are going, and maybe one day you’ll hear me on it. This is one of my friends’ crazy ventures that is actually worthwhile.

The worst part about reading a comic book that you are really engrossed in is the ads that pop up and interrupt the experience. It’s not as bad as TV since you can just flip the page but regardless the story is broken up as you are painfully pulled back into reality by someone trying to sell you something. A common trend among comic book advertisements as of late is the use of two facing pages to present the product. This enrages me.
The products in the ads tend to be of a similar theme. I first noticed it with two-pagers for automobiles. The idea that they were selling cars in comic books really frustrated me. I suppose it’s okay for advertisers to reach the comic market since many readers are now adults with a disposable income. The fact that they think they are so important that it takes two pages to sell me a goddam Ford commuter car is what angers me.
Another kind of product that likes to do this is video games. I epecially understand the cross merchandising with gamers and comic geeks, but do we really need two different two page ads for Final Fantasy V Advanced? I certainly don’t.

Shut your fucking mouths, you elitist fucks. I KNOW all your arguments against it and I agree with most of them but the site it merely a new social tool like anything else. I’ve stopped complaining about cell phones because I realised that it’s just the way society is shifting. Do the same thing, grow a little, and just ignore it if it bugs you that much. I mean, I hate babies and I just ignore them. Problem solved.

On my review for Battlestar Galactica, I linked the image from another site. I looked at it today and the image was replaced by one that just said “I STEAL BANDWIDTH”. I admit that I’m a novice when it comes to computers. I had no idea I was even doing this. I doubt I was significantly reducing the bandwidth at all since my blog gets practically no traffic (that I know of). Still, It kind of made me feel like I was doing something bad. It’s been pointed out to me that me and my friends are theives. You know what? I’m gonna do it again. Hopefully I’ll at least save that image saying I’m stealing before I delete it this time.

Yup. There it is.

No words can express the rage and contempt for human life I feel right now.
