Fucktopia
Fucktopia
Jake recently remastered the classic (but up until this day “never released”) album Fucktopia: Born to Fucktopia.
When I say “never released”, I mean, no one ever bothered putting it on cd or really distributing it amongst our friends. Nonetheless, I think this album carries a lot of punch; mostly inspired by Cruzan malt liquor bought at the Dollar Tree, there is feral spring madness to all of these songs. It’s a transistional peice - that is, one part Kilboy Fuckbot, one part Boontdusties - whatever the hell that means.
I suppose I mean that there is both a strong folk influence and a surprising amount of improvisation. Yet, the most interesting songs are those that were were layered track by track; noone quite knew how the song would turn out if we just told one of our friends (possibly someone who’s never played an instrument before) to go into the other room and record something over the already laid down guitar tracks…
Here it is for your perusal.
1. The begining is the end is the beginning
2. All you need is sleep
3. The prophecy
7. Jordi
10. Prelude
12. Warm Hands
13. Mush mouth
15. Suprise, arise
16. The end is the beginning is the end.
