They Come In Threes

This morning on the bus-ride into work I was dozing off in the back corner of the bus with the sunshine in my face. As I began to start to drift into unconciousness, I noticed that my hands felt like they were intertwined, but I couldn’t remember if they actually were.

I was in a pretty confused state and so I wanted to verify whether or not my hands were actually strung together. So, though it was a bit of a challenge, I peeked out of one of my slumbering eyelids and saw that in fact my hands were not even touching. Yet, when I closed them again I could swear that I felt them laced together.

Then an image-idea floated into my head of a non-distict man saying “Brother, won’t you show me mercy?”. What the hell ? Okay, so it was probably just one of those random thought generators that happens right before you konk out; but then I managed to put together the fact that “Mercy” is also the game you play when you try to overpower someone else by twisting and squeezing your intertwined hands. It felt strange that I made that connection AFTER the seemingly random thought appeared – strange that the unconcious part of my mind knew something before my “conscious” mind could catch up.

Just as I was started to rouse from sleep from all of these strange connections, the bus driver shouted out “Next stop, Mercer street”. That really freaked me out – I mean, what a strange little burp of surreality. Part of me wonders whether or not I was picking up on some psychic event from that specific location on Mercer street, or what?

This is kind of one out of left field, but I was looking at my Uncle Mike’s business website and I checked his contact information to see if I had the right email address.

Now, to clarify, he’s not *really* an uncle by an traditional sense of the word, but my dad and him have been friends since Kindergarten, so I think of him as part of my family.

What’s strange about the site though, is I noticed that the sales contact beneath my uncle Mike’s name was none other than “Jim Kelly” (my own father’s name).

USA

President

Michael L. Par**i +1 (408) ***-1904

Sales and Marketing

Jim Kelly +1 (408) ***-1904

For a second I wondered if my dad has been living a secret life of marketing, but then I remembered how much he swears and realized he would never make that good of a salesman. You know that whole problem with constantly cussing out potential customers.

I know that Jim Kelly is probably a relatively common name, so it’s not *that* weird, but nonetheless I am still kinda weirded out, wondering just why my uncle Mike is drawn to people
with that name. I guess I just find it strange that there are all these patterns in words and symbols and that they attract to eachother.

Okay, I am probably going to get this horribly wrong, but …

So, Amber told me last night that her sister had a dream about that Amber had a child. Apparently, Amber took her baby up to the edge of a mountain and the baby turned into a deer. There’s a bit more to it than that, but that’s the most important aspect.

So, upon hearing this, Amber found it to be a bit spooky because she remembers spending some time yesterday looking up videos online about deer after suddenly becoming intensely curious about their antlers. I KNOW, TOTALLY BONKERS RIGHT!??!

The also-always-ever-freaked-out JK and I were talking through a chat window and I
mentioned the strange occurrence with Amber, and he said:

“How funny, I was talk just talking in a chat window with another friend and wrote “my boss looks like a deer in headlights”.

So what is it: Chat windows or portals into another dimension? This shit is getting complex.

I’ve also been carrying around this tiny glow in the dark plastic statue of the Virgin Mary for the past few days that I got from Archie MacPhee, as sort of a prayer/request for mercy.
