NEW SITES TO SEE

See above!

I’ve been working my ass off getting a bunch of new sites up and off the ground. They are all still in the development process, but I wanted to get them out in the open hoping that their exposure to the sun would help them grow.

First off, I’ve figured out enough to start expanding boontdusties.com (which now has content on the homepage) to incorporate more people. I’ve enlisted three new bodies who are going to keep their own individual blogs, and hopefully next weekend when I go down to Josh and Bethany’s wedding in Arcata I can convince more folks to jump on the bandwagon.

For now, I offer you this:

1. Inkstand : Phil’s Boont Dustie Blog - Phil does reviews of things, and it’s fucking hilarious. I moved it over from Blogger, so there are still a few formatting issues, but man, this stuff is golden. Phil is O.G. in the Boont Dusties collective, and the star of the film I am currently editing (a documentary about living on the planet Earth called “The Dinosaurs”).

2. Charlie Walker: My Mom’s Boont Dustie Blog - I don’t know where my mom came from - she’s really quite a special person. She agreed to sign up to have her own blog and I am positive it’s going to be a huge hit. She’s known my friends as long as I have and has a lot of pictures of us, and is known for gossiping with all of them online. She also has a lot of weird diverse interests, like pygora goats, gardening, and Fleetwood Mac obsession. Recently she acquired a job trapping bugs for the Ag department and has been writing a bunch of posts about it (she’s saved them as drafts though waiting for me to proofread). I’ve been bugging her to take pictures which are sure to be amazing. Ask her to give you some advice, she’d love that.

3. Jake’s EVENTUAL Boont Dustie Blog - Jake expressed interest in doing his own blog, mostly of his digital pictures (which are beautiful). He lives at my house now and is the main mixer for all our music, so I am hoping he’ll contribute more in that regard.

Speaking of our house, I’ve stepped aside from doing shows and Amber and Jake have moved into help take over. We set up a new myspace site at The 414 on Myspace listing all our house shows and events. In a similar vein, I set up a website AT my house FOR my house at http://www.414house.com . This will also have the latest and greatest coming out of our not so humble abode including STREAMING RADIO from by bedroom. We’re looking into how to make this more interactive, allowing local Seattle residents host their own shows without completely killing our DSL connection.

So check out the links, leave comments and bug people to get cracking. Thanks for stopping by.
