Timeline:
Saturday Morning – Amber and I clean the house. She finds an arrowhead (maybe even a spearhead) that she had found in the middle of the jungle in Belize.

Saturday Evening -
Went to a meeting for a small group of people here in Seattle who want to open up a new all ages venue in Seattle. I thought it would be amazing to call it the Halodeck – especially for the first couples months we’ll probably have to run our operation “virtually” (void of a physical space) until it can manifest itself into a reality.
Saturday Night -
That turned me on to watching this: Elementary, Dear Data . Yeah, I know. It’s an episode of Star Trek. But trust me, it will add some strange philosophical ideas into the phenomena I am about to explain next.

Even Later in The Night -
Then Amber and I went walking to find urban tomatoes and she saw a Shadow creature / cloaked spirit sneak behind a building trying to not be seen. She said it floated and was definitely not human.
Here is some commentary from my co-worker, Erik:
As a kid in Wyoming, I was at my friends ranch a ways outside of town. There’s a big open field there, heading off into more ranch country (properties were really spaced wide apart there). We were playing on his deck, and from the corner of my eye, out in the field, I thought I saw a shadowy figure walking slowly, almost searching the grass.
I figured it was a neighbor at first, but when I looked at it, there was nothing there.
As I turned my head again though, I could see it in my peripheral vision, still walking.
I told my friend about it and he looked and saw nothing. Then I tried to explain, feeling like a dumbass, that you had to look sideways to see it.
We both tried for a bit, then I saw it again, further out. It looked all hunched over, and it turned a bit toward us and was definately not a person. It had a muzzle like face that extended out a bit, and bright eyes and looked like it might be 6-7 feet tall if it stood up all the way.
I thought I was imagining, but my friend screamed just then and we ran inside. He said he saw the same thing.
In high school, years later, one of my fellow students was a native who’s grandpa still lived on the reservation and practiced their traditional shamanism. He would visit the res for about a month each year, and he decided to tell some stories about it in our English class.
He told one about a night that he and his grandpa were out in an open-roofed house sleeping under the stars, and he looked up and saw shadows looming above them. He said when he was fully awake, he could not see them, aside from flashes in the corner of his vision.
His grandpa told him it was a ‘lost tribe’ and that they look to be coyote-men, or perhaps to wear coyote hides over their heads, but since you can’t really look right at them, it’s hard to say. There have been legends for a while though, he said.
His grandpa also said they sometimes leap out in front of people driving in their lands to scare them into crashing their cars. Apparently they hate fire, and the only way to hurt them is to heat your arrows, or rifles barrels in the fire first.
It might just be a separate legend, but he described what he saw really similarly, so I always thought that was kinda freaky.
I am interested in this long synchronicity/symbol progression for Saturday. Could the arrowhead have been used to fight these spirit creatures in the Belizian jungle? What did Amber see? Is the Moriarity/Star Trek episode useful at all in describing this phenomenon?
i’m so happy you wrote this–i’ve seen shadows at the edges of my sight before and felt chilled by it, but never felt up to looking. these odd shadow people lurking in my peripheral vision…i’ve always felt that they were person shaped but never thought they were people.
