Louis Stories

Friday, September 12th, 2008

These are stories written by Louis – the little three year old Amber nannies:

Louis’ Story about: Coyotes

Once upon a time, and far away in the distance, there was a coyote. It was really big and tall like an eagle or a crow.

Louis’ Story about: Little Ants Crawling

Little ants, they know what to do. They are really insects that spiders like to catch. Tiny, tiny insects. They are really tiny, tiny insects.

Louis’ Story about: Frogs

So, here’s about frogs. And the frogs are a little bigger than the ants. But they are not bigger than even a buffalo or a camel. A camel has two water packs that he can carry in his back. Even, I like a little big frog that jumped off of my head.

Louis’ Story about: Buffalos

Here’s a story about buffalos. Buffalos are really tall and a little buffalo jumped off of my head and he got a Ow-wee. Buffalos are big but they have a little mouth that they can talk with. They talk about something else or leaves way up in the tree.

Louis’ Story about: Spiders

Spiders catch flies. That’s it.

ST Rainbow / Sweet Potatoes coastal tour

Amber, Jenny and I went on a little weekend music jaunt across to the Olympic penisula and the islands populating the northwest corner of Washington. We started our trip in port townsend where we played to mostly families w/ kids @ the Boiler Room.
Amber on my parents land in Port Townsend

It was actually a really impressive turnout and people seemed to respond favorably. One woman named bernadette came up to me after the show noticeably in a state of shock … She said she had walked on just as the found sound I was playing wafted these words into the air: “he is wounded and he needs to be uplifted”. Apparently she had a friend in that particular situation so the random voice had resonated strongly with her. Highlight of the evening though had to be the solvents kids, who were in attendance and kept yelling out “play ‘nest of whores’”.

St Rainbow on Whidbey Island

Friday night we stayed out in cape George on my parents land, living in the lap of luxury in a plush 70s camper. We made chicken sausage sandwhiches and fell asleep early.
